The mission of the Student Support Services program at Crown of Life Lutheran School is to provide academic assistance to students who learn differently; encouraging success, confidence and independent learning in a Christ-centered environment. Students are eligible for the program if they have been admitted into Crown of Life Lutheran School and have a current and complete Educational Diagnostic Evaluation from a Certified Educational Diagnostician.
Appropriate educational accommodations are based on diagnostic recommendations will be extended to students in the classroom setting and Student Support Services are supplied through Lutheran Special Education Ministries (LSEM). The LSEM teacher partners with parents and the classroom teacher, coordinates educational accommodations, provides individualized academic support in language arts and mathematics, assists with executive functioning and monitors student progress.

Teacher - Paula Ward
Mrs. Paula Ward is in her first year at Crown of Life Lutheran School. She has three years of teaching experience and seven as a teaching assistant and substitute. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from University of Texas – Dallas and her Master of Education Degree in Autism Intervention from the University of North Texas. Mrs. Ward is an active member at Water’s Edge Church in Frisco.
Mrs. Ward and her husband Lewis have been married for close to thirty years and have two children, Caryn and Tom. While not teaching Mrs. Wards enjoys little dogs, crafts, movies, and books.
