At Crown of Life, it is an honor and a privilege to minister to young children and their families in our Early Childhood Program. Our programs are developed and facilitated by our degreed and certified teachers. We provide developmentally appropriate, active learning opportunities to help each child discover their potential.
With many children starting school at earlier ages, it is imperative their first experience with school is positive and builds a strong foundation for a love of learning and exploration. Our program offers a fun, creative, and friendly way to begin school. We strive to meet the individual needs of children and their families in a nurturing, loving, and faith-filled environment where students grow in self-confidence, develop friendships, and learn about the world around them. Learning is structured and planned around play, songs, and movement. All classes are age appropriate and allow for creative yet structured learning where children develop independence, a sense of self, and a love for learning.
Our curriculums are grounded in hands-on experiences and play-based activities which gives kids a sense of wonder and curiosity while developing them academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Play provides an incredible source of learning for children at this age, which is structured and created by our degreed-based teachers. Our curriculum also includes learning centers and activities focused on religion, reading, and math readiness skills. While balancing learning through play and academic instruction, our preschool program is theme-based and we incorporate each theme into all aspects of our day including science, language arts, social studies, music, art, Spanish, computer education, and physical education. Preschoolers participate in both teacher-led and student-led activities along with free choice centers. In addition to our curriculum, the older preschoolers are exposed to “sight words” and “easy readers” if developmentally appropriate for the child.
Our preschoolers engage with students through 8th grade, including our weekly Rise and Shine Meeting. They will learn not only about themselves but about Jesus's love as Lutheran based faith is integrated throughout each day including our "Visit With God” time each day.
We invite you to join us. It’s a great place for your child to grow!
