ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAM:

The goal of the Academic Support Program is to encourage student success by building confidence and independent learning in a Christ-centered environment.  The program is offered through Lutheran Special Education Ministries and provides individualized and small group assistance in language arts, mathematics and study skills for students diagnosed with learning differences.   In language arts students concentrate on phonology, reading comprehension, reading fluency, vocabulary skills, spelling, handwriting and written expression.  Mathematics focuses on operations and fact fluency through guided practice and the use of hands-on manipulatives. Study skills are strengthened during both language arts and math classes through the implementation of critical thinking and executive functioning tools.   Accommodations are offered based on diagnostic recommendations. Classes meet for 90 minutes per week and a monthly fee is assessed:

  • Language Arts – $150 per Month (90 Minutes per Week)
  • Mathematics – $150 per Month (90 Minutes per Week)
  • Language Arts & Mathematics – $150 per Month (3 Hours per Week)
