At Crown of Life, it is a joy to minister to young children as they experience school for the first time. Our Early Childhood Program is staffed by degreed teachers who strive to meet the individual needs of each child in a nurturing, loving and faith-filled environment where students grow in self-confidence, develop friendships and learn about the world around them.
The developmentally appropriate curriculum is theme-based and grounded in purposeful play, hands-on experiences and teaching-learning centers. Through the Learning Without Tears Program students learn correct pencil grip as well as letter and number recognition and formation. Pre-reading skills are reinforced with stories, poems, rhymes and sight word identification. Math concepts are taught by sorting, classifying, sequencing, patterning and counting. Science activities encourage curiosity and wonder and students develop their interests and skills during art, music and physical education classes. Spanish and social studies opportunities focus on family, friends and community. Each day begins with prayer, praise and a Bible story and students attend a weekly Early Childhood Chapel. This comprehensive approach results in a program that builds a strong academic foundation and a love of learning and exploration. We invite you to join us!
